About Vendutie Kraal
The original name of the farm was “Vendutie Kraal” (“vendutie” translates to auction). The farm was previously used for the auction of livestock to be used by trek farmers on their way to the north. Out of respect for the history of the farm it was decided to use “Vendutie Kraal” in the logo.
The “Crossing” refers to the crossing of the river by these early pioneers.

This wine delivers aromas of ripe plums, cherries, chocolate and hints of dried banana. The sweet, oaky vanilla from wood maturation adds to a silky mouth-feel of black cherries.
